First and foremost, welcome to the Lunar Network!
Many of you know who we are and what we're trying to accomplish, but for those of you who don't: We're a team of people who have been working together for many years on Minecraft related projects. (MineHQ, Arcane, and Ultra Networks to name a few)
In the final days of MineHQ, we published a post discussing our reasoning for shutting down the server and we said that the management team intended to stick together to make a fun, exciting, and safe environment for players to play on. Today, we are proud to announce that Lunar will be that very place. We've been working hard behind the scenes, mostly on the legality of everything, and we are finally happy with a product that we can release to the public.
I've personally received written permission from itsjhalt to continue to use FrozenOrb's codebase. This is really helpful since our development and management teams are already so familiar with it. Jonathan (itsjhalt) will not be in any way affiliated with Lunar (nor its legal entity, Moonsworth, LLC) and will not be profiting from it.
Nevertheless, many changes had to be made to the code to make it work with our new infrastructure, so we'll need large tests to ensure a quality product. Because of this, we'll periodically be un-whitelisting the server before fully releasing. You can find announcements on the Owners' personal Twitters, our official Twitter or our Discord. (All of these are linked below)
We want to thank you for your patience and wish to bring back to life the fun memories we all had on HCF and PotPvP in general. Our plan is to have a full Practice & Minigames release, shortly thereafter HCSquads and then move onto HCTeams!
Thank you for the patience throughout these last six months. We hope you will all enjoy the server!
