My Take On Everything That Happened 96

Here's my take on everything that happened. Not an official statement, but my personal thoughts on what happened over the last 72 hours.
We messed up, we admitted it was our fault, and we are going to learn from this and move forward.
This was our first ever big release, and everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. "First-time" releases have many issues, we just had more than we could take on. I get that everyone is upset, as you should be, please be considerate and think twice before harassing and absolutely shitting on our staff and server. We tried everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, to ensure that the server could be up and running, obviously we failed, and again, we're sorry. There is not much else to say than that.
We're going to do whatever it takes to find the issue in our backend that is causing this and fix it.
I also want to address the most popular/upvotes posts I read:
1. "Thanks for wasting our time."
Since Friday, our team has been working around the clock to figure out what was going on. We reconfigured our entire backend and these issues were still happening. If I'd have to guess, between Griffin, Jordan, Mac (especially mac, shoutout mac), and myself, we probably got less than 5 hours of sleep each night. Our intent was not to waste anyone's time, it was to bring back a fun, enjoyable game, like everyone asked us to.
2. "Waste of a Saturday and sunday. At least we learned that lunar isn't anything close to how mhq was."
Again, this is running the same backend as MineHQ, which was developed by (mostly) the same developers that are currently working on Lunar. It could be a change we made, it could be something simple we're looking past, or both. We don't know yet. MineHQ was around for 5+ years - we opened our doors on February 11, 2019. Let me also state that MineHQ went through a lot of rough roads to get to where it got - and we're just getting started. I get that you guys like holding us to the same standard as MineHQ, but please remember when we released and the conditions that we released under. We like holding ourselves to high standards as well and I want to say this again: We will be better. This is our first big release and we are going to learn from it and move forward.
3. "Squads was running at 20TPS, why couldn't you just let it be up?"
The issue was never the server itself, it's in the backend/infrastructure. The only reason we opened Squads was because we thought that our latest fix had worked because we were able to hold over 1,000 players (amount where it usually crashed) for ~30 minutes. We would have never opened Squads if this wasn't the case. When we did open Squads, the server was running smooth (performance wise) - the infrastructure wasn't.
4. "Life’s not about waiting for the storm to pass , it’s about learning to dance in the rain."
Agreed.
I could go on, but I think you guys get the point: we tried our hardest. We're going to be extending everyone's ranks and trying this again. We're not giving up, especially after the first try - we ain't quitters. If we listened to what people told us, we would have never opened this server in the first place. We're simply trying to give you guys an enjoyable server to play on again, and I hope you can all understand that.
We'll be having official updates throughout the week with what we are doing to move forward with Season 1 and Squads.
To those who still stick around and support us: thank you <3
